Hey all,

Its been annoying me for awhile now, but i would really like to know what the difference between the D2X's hardware is compared to the STX.

Like whats the difference between the STX's: Texas Instruments PCM1792A*1, Cirrus-Logic CS5381*1 and AV100 High-Definition Sound Processor.

Versus the D2X's: Texas Instruments PCM1796*4, Cirrus-Logic CS5381*1, and AV200 High-Definition Sound Processor.

It looks like the D2X has the newer hardware (by looking at the numbers). Can someone please decipher this for me, lol.

Anyway
Thanks
Steff

The STX has higher quality DACs' then what is available on the D2 or other ASUS cards. The closest card to the STX or ST in the Xonar Line up is the HDAV 1.3. The AV100, is said to be a slightly modified version of the AV200. tha Av200 has DTS-C routines as the Av100 does not. There is some information to say the AVX00 chips are modifed 8788 or other says they are the same. The main differences between the cards is in the DAC and filters...
