I need some more great, melodic rock-much like these albums:

Dredg-El Cielo, Leitmotif
Cave In-Jupiter
Porcupine Tree-(everything)
Team Sleep
Mars Volta-(everything)
Tool-(everything)
Rush-(everything)

Just throwing some classic stuff out there; I know most of the usual suspects though.

When I first heard "Jupiter" and "Leitmotif" I was floored.

I need to be floored again.

Suggest you visit the Prog site Progarchives for inspiration. There are plenty of reviews, video clips and an active forum for all sub-genres of Prog. I visit there almost as often as Head-fi.

if you look up those bands on itunes in the store, on the right hand side you will see something that says "listeners also bought" if you only want something that sounds like a spacific album, click on that album first and then look. you should be able to find something you like

As compared to what I listed above, im looking for the hard-prog-rock recs.

Not exactly proggy or artsy, but for pretty good rock and fairly unique sound/style, check out the self titled album by the band Tantric.

Also, A Perfect Circle is a must if you are a tool fan.

Yes - Fragile and Close to The Edge (although its drastically different, but still good prog with melodic elements thrown in)

Maybe check out some Marillion as well

I'll second Yes. A friend introduced me to them a few weeks ago and I'm really loving Close to the Edge. It's got a jazzy, offbeat, dissonant feel in parts which is interesting and something different in rock music.

Ayreon's great as well. Definitely something that has to be listened in albums from start to end though.
