Hi!
I would like a nice alternative for times when I do not want the full isolation of my IEMs.

I have searched and seen a lot of initial reviews and comparisons. My question is this: Are owners of the ATH clip on (and bud EC7) happy after using them for a while?

Suggestions welcome. I like a relatively neutral sound, extended highs, but I am not too critical regarding bass response.

Music taste is full range-- classical, jazz, rock, folk

As always, thanks in advance--this is a great group!

I'm happy with my EW9 in a humble way.
They have limits, bass and low midrange are lacking (not good for rock) and their absence make the sound a little flat (no sense of depth). The soundstage is weak too (at times I sense the music like it's coming from two pipes), only the main instrument played (or voice) find a way in the middle-back of my head. Good details. To enjoy them I have to forget how good the AKG501 sound in comparison.
They are very light and comfortable and they look good.
I've never heard IEMs or other clip-ons (IEMs are on my avoid list because of the deep insertion into the earcanal).

Take my comments with a grain of salt because I'm still a beginner in the audio world.
