I've got a six pack of Tecate on ice, and later planning on tracking down a margarita that has something other that Cuervo in it, eating something resembling good Mexican food and then off to see that Amazing Spider-man guy with the family!

How about you?

Someone called a local radio station and told this history of Cinco De Mayo... When the Titanic sailed to doom in April 1912 it was carrying a large amount of mayonase that was desitined for Mexico...When the Mexicans heard of the sinking they exclainmed-they Cinco De Mayo!!
Do jokes get any worse than that?

(Spanish: "Fifth of May") Mexican holiday commemorating the Mexican victory over the French at Puebla in 1862. The French army, better equipped and far larger than the Mexican army, had been sent by Napoleon III to conquer Mexico. The Mexicans, under Gen. Ignacio Zaragoza, defeated the French at Puebla, inflicting serious losses. The French withdrew to the coast, but returned the next year to take Puebla; they would control most of Mexico for the next four years. Cinco de Mayo celebrations often include music, dancing, and parades.
