They're back..................
It's official, world tour announced:

Judas Priest

I have over the last couple years purchased all remastered Cds from "sin" to "painkiller" .........now I can see the cool image formed from the edge graphics when all cds are together on shelf!

Iced Earth has been a yawn since Burnt Offerings. Heck maybe Ripper could actually revitalize the band

I somehow don't quite hear him fitting in with Jon's planned 30-minute symphonic epic about the civil war, but then again I suppose you never know!

Hey DarkAngel: How do the new judas priest remasters sound? I have the old cd versions from sin after sin up to defenders of the faith. I havn't heard the new versions yet.

Get them all, sound is better plus 2 bonus tracks and enhanced artwork for each CD, all this at mid price level!

I agree, the Priest remasters are pretty sweet, although some of the soft sections on Defenders sound pretty horrid (i.e. the beginnings of Freewheel Burning ans Sentinel) with a high noise level. The rest sound great, I think Painkiller has a better sounding low end than the original, and British Steel sounds very sharp indeed.

Dark Angel: who is that in your avatar? It reminds me of one picture of Tarja from Nightwish (though I doubt it's her.)

Good, now maybe we'll see a real followup the excellent Painkiller.

My son is nuts for that Halfred guy, and has seen him live a few times. I find his wacky vibrato a bit odd. Was his best work in that Beavis and Butthead video?
