I went to an audiologist in riverside, CA (beltone hearing center) and I had my impressions done for futuresonics. Futuresonics specifically said that he was supposed to use a biteblock but told me to open my jaw multiple times which I don't know if it works as effectively or not. The right impression didn't hurt at all, but the left one gave me this red sore in my ear and he told me it was perfectly fine and there was still some green mold in my ear.. I'm not sure if that's normal either. The last impression I did was another audiologist in orange county which left no mold, had a bite block, and didn't hurt at all. I'm not sure if this red sore pain is normal but it kind've aches, and I really hope that without a bite block it doesn't screw up my impressions.

Anyone wanna give me a headsup on if this audiologist failed at anything?

Seems like different audiologists don't use a standard procedure.
