H/K 7200 headphone amp

I had been using my Harmon Kardon 7200 reciever's headphone jack, I just bought a LDM+. The sound from the H/K is much better than thru this LDM+. The bass is fuller. What really stands out is the separation is much better with the H/K.

Is the headphone jack on the H/K really good or is the LD+ lacking?

Receivers are also integrated amplifiers, generally. Some are higher quality than others. In good ones, the headphone out will be good. In bad ones, it will be bad. fairly simple.
