For the headphones, some of you may know I was a relatively earlier adopter, who soon sold his GS1K out of disappointment with the midrange. I'm no Grado fanboy and the only reason I originally purchased them was the rumors of them being unGrados. A better RS1 is likely still behind a HD650 and K701 in my book. So at a few meets I tried the GS1K with just the Lavry, then a MPX3, a Zana Deux, Mapletree Ear+... even a RA1 (which was especially disappointing as I knew it was used for development) and nothing satisfied. I don't know if it's my different equipment (home and portable), bad memory, likely different expectations and/or possibly fluctuations in the production line, but these are much better (using some of the same test tracks as before). The midrange is far less recessed and easier to tweak. Vocals sound great which I'd never say before.... or at least seems so after a whopping two hours of listen.

We'll see over time, but right now I'm very happy.

Blessing, try it with reverse VWAP pads. I'm tellin' ya, that's the way to go!

While I would like to hear your impressions with reversed VWAPs compared to bagels, I have to say in the end the bagels were much better for me. But reversed VWAPs were like a better RS-1.
