GS Audio Impressions Thread

Be careful with the seller name hkg audio store, on AE selling obsidian cable.
First, they asked me to extend the delivery processing time because it was out of stock. Now, they ask me to cancel the order as there should be shipping fee.

The reason I ordered because I was curious with that cable, but with such seller it is better for me not to buy anything from them.
Nice, the stock one felt not aesthetically made..

Same, they came back with the listing contained error that it ships without shipping cost, urged me to cancel order then reorder with shipping charge🤔 I’m fine with paying shipping charge but it sounds fishy

A new store without any credit😵

I have the same issue. This is bad practice

Also interested in the answer to this.^
It really depends on your preferences. I prefer a balanced, bright-ish sound with slightly north of flat neutral bass, therefore I ordered the SD9. I listen mostly to instrumental jazz, fusion, latin jazz, old funk, rock and prog. The JVC HA-FDX1 with medium filters has that kind of tuning, with a bass that is slightly more elevated than I like. The Sundara has a perfect tuning for me, I love mine.
I'm eager to hear my SD9, hoping it will fit the bill.

GT12 just arrived.
Very analogue and musical sound compared to the other GS Audios (SE12, SE11 and GD3A). :)

Channel matching looks good.
Their qc does seem to be on top of things, which is fantastic at that price point for the configurations they offer. They are an OEM/ODM, so it would make sense that they take quite a bit of care to reduce variances, but that's not always guaranteed with some brands.

The drop off at around 10kHz does seem a bit perilous for it's ability to provide a wide soundstage. How is the stage size on this set in your opinion?

Wait until this weekend as my new IEC711 coupler arrives tomorrow to measure them more precisely. Soundstage is maybe not as wide as the SE12 in a brief listen but surprisingly deep and decently tall.

I'll look forward to even more accurate graphs, then. Thanks for the response! Sounds like a good easy-listening set for when you just want to throw on some acoustic recordings and lay back for a while.

Anyone willing to compare GD3A with ISN H40? Smiliar setup, would like to know if it would be an upgrade or not, even if still cheaper.
Also a comparison with tri i3 pro would be interesting.
thanks!

They look stunning. I really like that faceplate and it's always cool to see that many BA drivers all stacked together like that.
