I got my GD7B reshelled to look like the SD3 before they started charging for the service, but I would have done so even with the fee because I really didn't like the aesthetic of the chrome blue ginko leaf pattern. But for the GD5, it's a difficult sell for me because it does look pretty cool and it's a pretty great bargain of a set for the number of drivers with BAs from named brands.

Edit: I do actually like the aesthetic of the SD9. I think the chrome faceplate and purple shell are pretty cool, but I definitely agree that the look doesn't really suit an IEM in that price range. Which shell design did you end up going with? I'm personally quite fond of this one:

So technically, it is 4 BAs. If I'm not mistaken, dual BAs in a single shell count as two.

Yeah, but apparently I can't read, so I missed that they're using some customized Bellsing driver for the UHF, so it's the dual-chamber 33 series Sonion, a single chamber 23 series Sonion, and a single chamber TWFK series Bellsing. Three driver modules, four actual BA drivers.

Good choice. I love the 80's aesthetic, which is really just a throwback to the 20's aesthetic. The black mother-of-pearl with gold and black resin is a really cool look.

I don't believe in cables, but this one looks cool.
It looks like the "graphene" ones from XINHS, KBEAR etc..

Sub-woofer: Sonion 38 AcuPass (2BA)
Bass-Mid: Sonion 37 (2BA)
Mid-Treble: Sonion 2389D (2BA)

GT12:
Sub-woofer: Sonion 38 AcuPass | 2BA
Lower Mid: Sonion 33 | 2BA

So my understanding for SD9 is
Bass:1DD (sound like DD, for tonal coherence)
Bass-Mid: Sonion 37 (2BA)
Mid-Treble: Sonion 2389D (2BA)
Super Tweeter: Knowles SWFK (4BA)

So SD9 is basically identical to ST10 except what sub-woofer they use, SD9 uses DD, and ST10 uses Sonion 38 AcuPass I’m sure you will like SD9 Top notch technicalities if there is no bass bleeding.

Thanks! It's awesome if it has the same BAs as the ST10 but with a DD replacing the Sonion 38.

How is the bass of ST8B compared to GD3?

Bass is overall close in terms of volume. There is a touch more sub bass in the GD3A compared to the ST8B. Main difference would be in the texture and presentation. The GD3A bass is faster a bit thinner overall but more impact compared to the ST8. ST8 bass is a bit more fuller sounding, a touch slower on the decay a bit. The GD3A sounds a bit more realistic timbre wise in the bass.

Lol like-minded people! That’s exactly what I thought, “wow looks identical to XINHS graphene one”. It’s very reasonable so it wouldn’t hurt to try anyway

Be careful with the seller name hkg audio store, on AE selling obsidian cable.
First, they asked me to extend the delivery processing time because it was out of stock. Now, they ask me to cancel the order as there should be shipping fee.

The reason I ordered because I was curious with that cable, but with such seller it is better for me not to buy anything from them.

Same, they came back with the listing contained error that it ships without shipping cost, urged me to cancel order then reorder with shipping charge I’m fine with paying shipping charge but it sounds fishy
