That is some insanity! The XLR plugs probably cost more than the headphones already, let alone the cost of the conductors and insulation!

I considered that, but took a look at the headphones and Bose designs these where it can not be user opened.

Does anyone know how to open of these cans up?

I know. OTOH, you can spare buying a grill and extra heater for the winter. So, the effect-cost ratio is not that bad.
