Headphones Under $100

I've been looking around for quite some time for a good pair of headphones that is somewhat portable.

I ended up thinking on buying a Sennheiser PX 200-II, but then I started to think otherwise. I was starting to lean over on Superlux HD681 or the Samson SR850. I read around the head-fi forum and I found out that they were pretty good, but I'm still lost.

Headphones thought of:

1. Sennheiser PX 100-II/200-II
2. AKG K430
3. Superlux HD681
4. Samson SR850
5. Sony MDR-V6

I really need help.

Thanks in advance.

Do you want open or closed headphones and what kind of music do you like? The only headphones I can recommend for under $100 are the grado SR60i's but that's only because I hadn't really heard anything else. Not really a good choice if you want something that blocks noise, though

What kind of music do you listen to? Normally, I can't make recommendations without knowing what kind of music you listen to.

AFAIK, the v6 is really a monitor headphone, which means it has a pretty flat response. I haven't tried anything else, so I can't really say.

I've read the the 681 is even modded not as good as 668b. I am about to buy a HD 660. The HD 660 is a bit better for rock than 668B.

I think the creative aurvana live is also a good option.

No Grado SR60i and SR80i? Aren't those below $100?

Well, for where I live. Both the Grado's are expensive. Over $100.
Also, they are both open. So, not a recommended pair of headphones for school or for public.

From Australia you've got a few choices...

The AKG 420 i think are more comfortable than the 430's..  higher number doesnt mean better sometimes...

Then there is the AiAiAi tracks...  Noisy motel had a mad sale on them for 69.   however, http://thekoolroom.com/product.php?id_product=485  still has them for 58 AUD..

Then there are the portapros...  http://jaben.net/shopping2/Koss-Portapro.html   even comes with a free canaphone.

for closed...   the CALs are an amazing bargain at 71 dollars free shipping from
http://au.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=437&subcategory=438&product=17088
this is by far the best deal for closed headphones.

Superlux aint bad as well but..  they're mostly not for..  portable use I feel....

The aiaiai headphones looks good.

Lately the AKG's K430/420 are high on counterfeits. So it's kind of hard to buy non-counterfeit akg's.

The CALS looks pretty damn good, but I'm more leaning to the aiaiai's headphones.

There isn't much comparisms between the aiaiai headphones to other headphones.
So...yeah.

The Superlux's seems great! I might get the hd668 or the aiaiai tracks.
But I'm goin to check out some noise canceling headphones as well. Never had one before and they sound kind of awesome :)

Any other recommendation?

If you think the SR60s/80s are too expensive (as they indeed are in Australia) try the Alessandro MS-1i - you can order them direct from the Alessandro website for <100AUD delivered. Then again they're open so they're not really 'portable'.

I'd just pick up a pair of Koss KSC-75. For about $15 they can't be beaten!

From what I know. Some of the best headphones to get under $100's in Australia are. . .

Superlux's Headphones.
AKG K430/K450.
AIAIAI Tracks.
V-Jays.
Sony MDR-V6
Koss KSC-75.

The top 3 that I am leaning to are,

1. Superlux HD668b
2. AKG K430
3. V-Jays
