Did you mod them, via the so-called podectomy? Or using them stock? Just curious if the mod is worth the hassle.

First of all, sorry for duplicating a thread that was already out there. Sometimes there are so many threads that it gets hard to look back far enough to see if the thread was already started. Either that, or I was just lazy, blind or both.Mods, please feel free to close this thread.

In answer to your question, I use these 'without' a podectomy. It is probably better to ask someone who has actually listened to them both podded and unpodded to get a better idea if the podectomy is worth it. The one problem I have with them, is that they are hard to power properly with an Ipod, but since I mainly listen to them from my laptop at home, it doesn't bother me too much. I'm not sure if a podectomy makes them Ipod friendly.

Sounds good. Since I use an amp most of the time, that's no problem. Anxious to test them against the 616s.
