Magnesium feels like plastic, and titanium doesn't actually look all that attractive in my book. But there's something about brushed aluminium on a cool day...

My initial impression is "what the stock HD600 might have been to please more people".

The thing I immediately dreaded after I saw the DT880 was the headband... The DT770 Pro were far too small and I thought these might have the same problem. Not at all. Bigheads need not fear the DT880.

nice pics...should post a review to go with it; i'm debating buying a pair or not. anyone know of any info relative to how they sound in general? with respect to the rest of my equipment? with electronic music?

That's coming later. I'm buried by Sony gear to evaluate at the moment, so once that's out of the way I can write about the DT880 a bit. I'll be listening to these over the course of the next week and making my notes.
