Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

The pc version doesn't come out until late 2005! That's seriously bs...everyone I've talked to would rather have the pc version.

Oh yea the online mod for VC freaking sux btw it's buggy as hell...and laggy as hell.

I'm also among the few who found GTA3/GTA:VC to be pointless and very overrated, and as such, don't think I'll ever pick up San Andreas, even if it receives ludicrous critical acclaim (IGNPS2's review gives it a 9.9, and calls it the best PS2 game ever).

I enjoyed the previous ones (still play Vice City in rampage mode once a week) but I'm going to pass on this one. I hate rap and have no desire to experience the "thug life". I was going to buy this one until I saw the commercials.

I don't care for rap either, but really...don't let the image put you off. I don't do the "thug thizzle" thing either, but this game is awesome and you need to go buy it now. There is some rock to counteract the rap.

San Andreas is definitely a step in the right direction for the series and should be picked up by anyone that is a GTA fan.

The improvements/additions it brings over previous GTA games alone should be worth the purchase price.

GTA SA only comes out in the UK on Friday... and I can't pick up a copy until Saturday (although I have a copy reserved, so thats ok)

The other game i'm looking forward to coming out in November (in the UK at least, early 2005 for the US) is 'The Getaway Black Monday'... I think the driving simulation is more accurate than that of the GTA engine... and the scenery is surprisingly accurate

Great game! (at least, judging by the original!)

Radio-X for me.

This game makes me want a PS2 now.

Is there going to be a PC release?

amol, I am with you. I found the mindless fun for a couple hours, but then all the games and missions blurred together. I think my favorite was GTA2.

Man, why did this game have to be released in the middle of the semester. I'm like a cigarette addict nicking out over here.

Not until Thanksgiving. Not until Thanksgiving. Just gotta keep telling myself that.

In terms of C&C, I think the original Red Alert was so magical, it could never be repeated. I never really like the "Tiberian" series. Just too fictional and otherworldly for me. Red Alert 2 was good, but there was never really the magic as with the first Red Alert. Perhaps the Cold War theme was just so spot on. C&C:Generals is, IMO, far and away the best C&C game since Red Alert 1. Great graphics, excellent balancing, has that immersion like RA, and the units are very conductive to excellent war tactics. True, it was a glitchy mother. C&C will always hols a special place in my heart, as it introduced me into good RTS games. Too bad they were the only RTS games that I liked

The other ones were good, but got old or tedious with the micromanaging.

Regarding San Andreas: I WANT THAT GAME NOW!!! Me want PC San Andreas. I will not even look at spoilers, I want that game to be fresh when I get it 10 years from now
