Grand Theft Auto IV Teaser Trailer

i cannot wait. if the pc version isn't good i will buy a new console just to play this. gta games are so incredibly fun. the organized story play is some of the best in gaming, and of course dicking around killing hookers and running over random people is a blast, too.

Was it just me, but I thought the GTA games were incredibly difficult.
The only way I was to pass any stages were from enabling cheats.

Extra armor, all the weapons, and instantly disabling the wanted level.
Also, having tanks and sport cars drop out of the sky when I needed them.

But I still had alot of difficulty passing stages and the gun controls were very difficult and I had a heck of a time cycling through my targets when people were already shooting at me.

After awhile I only liked driving around and listening to GTA's radio programs.

Awesome.

I see London. I see Paris. Looks like the protagonist is of Arabic decent. What am I missing?

Can't wait.

Not sure if I'm understanding your response

The game is set in Liberty City (New York City) and the protagonist is Russian.

Bingo.

Also, wouldn't it be cool if the other two cites were Vice City and San Andreas?

(Riding that roller coaster wouldn't hurt too much either)

My post was a joke about the rumors I read that GTAIV would be set in Europe and have a Arabic hero; turns out, rumor was just that.

I must admit to being disappointed, Europe would of been interesting imo. Outside the lovely graphics, I wonder why they didn't decide to stretch the premise again.

Liberty city seems too safe. eh, like I won't be dying to play this game anyway.

Like others, I can't wait!

Ah ok, I understand now. Yeah, London or Paris would have been great, but IMO they are pretty on par with New York City. I'm sure in later iterations of the game they will use some popular European locales.

apparently, the trailer was made using the RAGE game engine on a console. no pre-rendering at all. that is amazing.

i just hope the radio stations aren't horrible. normally the radio stations on gta games are very accurate for the time period. awesome gangsta rap and stuff like GNR on SA... VC had a really nice 80s feel. i really really hope that this more modern-day game isn't "accurate" because i don't want to listen to justin timberlake and linkin park.

edit: i also hope that the whiny soccer mom (and jack thompson, too!) people don't get any restrictions put on this game. iirc take two is sueing jack thompson.

I hope the talk radio station is as good as WCTR or chatterbox. Those were awesome.
