I have the SR60 and I'm thinking in an update (SR225 or SR325i) because I really like grado's sound.

But the question is if the SR225 or SR325 have better comfort tahn SR60, because after 40 minutes with the SR60 my ears are killing me...and of course I am not sure to buy the cans if I couldn't wear more than 40 minutes...

I had SR60's twice, and both times returned or sold them right away, because they hurt my ears too much.

I had 325 and 325i and they were much more comfy than the SR60's, but still not great, but still okay for a couple hours of listening.

Then I got the RS-1, and they were way more comfy than even the 325i.

I just got a pair of SR80 (just to try them), and they are light enough to not cause too much discomfort, but the RS-1's are the ultimate in Grado comfort (for me, anyway).

No surprises there, of course.

^ I always thought every Grado have the same design? It's the pads that make a difference in comfort.

confort wize, the answer is "No"
SR-60 is MUCH lighter than SR325i.
GS1000 is the most confortable, followed by Rs-1 and Rs-2
i found flats also to be more confortable than bowls

I can wear my SR80s much longer than my 325is simply due to weight. Those things have SOLID aluminum alloy earcups. That equals heavy. But I agree, I find bowls more comfy than comfies.

But you don't get Grados for comfort. The 325is are fantastic for their price, and I haven't heard a better can for making live rock performances sound like you're there on stage beside the performers.

I can bounce back and forth between the HD600 and MS2i all day and be cool with that, but then slap on a set of MS-1 and find them to be too LIGHT!

Weird.

Well, shouldent be any difference between sr-60 and 80 at all, as the exterior design is the same.
Its all about getting the right "arc" on the headband and make it fit your head. Im not sure about the 325i tough, but i guess its the same.

if you put bowls on your sr60's, that's how the 225's will feel

the 325i's are a bit less comfy due to the weight. i was able to bend my 325i's to a pretty comfortable spot, but the weight bothers me a little when i move around.

My 325i's are comfortable (I have tough ears), but I don't wear headphones more than a couple hours at most. Try the bowls on your 60's to get an idea of what they are like (but they'll be lighter as the 325i's are heavier).
