There a local distributor for Grado Headphones in Singapore

so yes..Grado are and can be sold outside of USA

I watch Ebay pretty closely and see that particular US seller offering Grado's in UK. The prices he asking are the same as in US, like GS1k for GBP 515 + GBP 5 shipping

Probably not that easy to make money in US so they try it in Europe.

...and the local distributor's markup. Not complaining, that's just how business works in the industry. It'd be nice though, with the weak dollar/strong pound, if the prices for new Grados here dropped somewhat, but i don't see that ever happening

Although Grados can be had for US prices here, if you look although I'd never blind-buy a $1000 Grado.

The saving on one pair of headphones wouldn't be enough for all that hassle.

I saved $300 by ordering a recabled ($300 for the cable alone) GS1000 from the US. Stock in Sweden is $1600+.

It's not like you have much of a choice. I have paid 170$ for my SR80s (ok, it was more like 150$ back then). And I think they have still much better value than sennheiser headphones.
