I was having a very hard time searching through the forums finding people who make  Grado woodies, so i'm making a compiled list here.

Other than the expensive / exotic wood makers I am still hard pressed to find someone who can make me some reasonably priced mahogany RS1 style cups.

Here they are, please reply if you know of any others! Cheers

I believe he went "down in flames" - ripping people off in the end.

I don't think so either. I've dealed with him a few times and he has always been a great person to get on with, taking so much care of everything and being extremely helpfull when things went wrong (even when he had no resposibility at all). He is a really nice man, simply not the kind of person who would rip off someone (and I believe that his head-fi feedback proves that).

Why do you say that? Do you have any proof? because I'm finding it very hard to believe...

I believe you may be confusing him with jschristian, who currently has amassed somewhere in the thousands of dollars of other people's equipment. He also was returning poorly modified items, and left for Alaska with other people's equipment. He also continued to take orders after leaving, with little or no intention of filling them. In fact he, as well as faverkiln should probably be removed.

Hey, first post here.
Just wanted to say thanks for this! I've had everything I need to finish my sr80's. I planned to make some simple cups myself, but my family member owning a lathe has parkinsons so this is becoming unrealistic. Now i am looking for someone to simply cut and lathe some cups, so I can stain, laquer, and sand them myself. This gives me somewhere to start!

Agreed.  It'd be nice if we could find someone willing to handle the major cutting/shaping but leaving the finishing up t the customer.  I'm debating whether or not to make a mess on my metal lathe to turn a set of woodies since no one seems to want to sell an unfinished set.
