Hopefully you all will be able to help me. I love my metal music, and I love my AD700s for it too, but it seems the low end is just missing. NOw I have read numerouos accounts about how Grado are the ROCK headphones.
The AD700s are very treble and mid based, alot of detail and smooth guitars, and tight bass, but I want to feel that kicker drum sometimes. I would like, if possible a pair of grados with that same detail and smoothness, but with more OOmmphh in the low end. What would the recommendation be?
I would like to keep this a fairly cheap purchase (under $150 if possible)
Some of my favorite bands include In Flames, Iced Earth, Shadows Fall, Opeth, Soilwork, and Trivium, so if any of you can tell me how those sound on your grados much appreciation would be given!
Also, how fatiguing are the grados? I know after a few hours of moderate volume my ears dont hurt, but are tired, which im sure is due to the higher end of the freq.
Thanks!
