Here is some background on this thread... http://www6.head-fi.org/forums/showthread.php?t=165495

For those that are interested in used prices on Grado gear, here are the sale amounts from transactions I was involved in. A possible format is below, but some information is better than none. Condition is from Audiogon sale located at http://www.audiogon.com/scale.html#11

BuyerRA-1 (AC)Nov-04 8/10$300
BuyerRS-1Nov-04 8/10$400
SellerRS-1Dec-048/10$400
BuyerMS-2Jan-058/10$270
BuyerPS-1Mar-059/10$1,000
SellerPS-1Jul-059/10$850
SellerMS-2Jul-058/10$165

I'm hoping that people will respect the intentions of this thread and just post whatever (if any) sale/purchase information they feel comfortable with. Comments on this process would fit better in the other thread. But of course, that's up to all of you to decide.

I can't figure out the spacing...sorry about the cluttered appearance.

I just sold a mint RS-2 for $400. It is funny a lot of people always bypass the RS-2 going directly for the RS-1, which is fine if you have the money. However I think the RS-2 are at least 90% of the RS-1 and you get a 30% discount.

Honestly, I don't quite see the point of these threads... but I've been following some Grado for a while:

PS-1 9/10 Jan 06 (after discontinued) - $1850
HP-2 ? Feb 06 - $1300
HP-2 8/10 Feb 06 - $1250
HP-2 ? Feb 06 - $1225

Best,

-Jason

Headroom offers free shipping on orders over... $49? Also you get 10% off if you're a head-fi contributor, which helps with Grado costs immensely.

I thought it was $99? Idk maybe I'm wrong. But oh man, I would love to have snatched up those PS1s for only $850. I guess there's something wrong with you when you consider $850 for headphones reasonable though

It was quite obsvious that it would happen.
This is why I will never buy one. I don't want to feed up speculations.

Lets forget them, and then once nobody won't be interested in, we will have them cheap.

Edit : or we can also wait for a new Grado HF edition to help to forget HF1 !

Hey guys this is what we have Head-Fi for...
I swear that if I ever gonna sell my HF-1 it will be on Head-fi First for a reasonble price and not on Ebay for 4XX $$$ or something like that.
There are a lot of ******** selling the HF-1 on Ebay, but we have got a lot of good people selling their own HF-1 here at reasonble prices.
