I was thinking about buying some nice headphones for my Cowon A2 PMP. Are these headphones good for movies? I like to listen to rock music and I have heard that these are one of the best for listening to rock.

I keep hearing about sound leakage...how much does sound actually leak out of these headphones? Would I be able to wear them while riding the bus or while sitting at my desk without disturbing others? If someone who owns a pair of Grado SR60s could answer my questions it would be much appreciated.

I just got mine today, so I haven't had a chance to listen to a movie with them yet. As far as leakage is concerned, they are a very open headphone, so yes, people next to you will definitely be able to hear what you are listening to in quiet areas. In the bus situation, you'll have to turn the headphones up to dangerous listening levels to be able to hear the music over the external sound around you. I would suggest a closed pair of headphones for the two scenarios you listed.

What do you recommend I get? Denon AHD 210? I hear they are uncomforable though.

I don't want big headphones, but I want quality sound, and I don't want it to be to noisy for others. The headphones can have some sound leakage but not much. Are there any headphones out there for me?

IEM's are good for noisy areas such as buses

They (Grados) are brilliant for rock, but not for movies. They also leak a lot of sound and others will definitely be able to hear it quite loudly. Also, as someone mentioned above, you would have to turn it up to compensate for your noisy surroundings, which not only damages your hearing, but also adds to the surrounding noise. In essence, they are not the best commuting headphones. In this case, even the greatly hated and disregarded Bose Triports are more pratical. (not that I'm recommending Bose at all)

Take a look at the Sony MDR-V6's. They can be found online at the exact same price as the SR-60's and offer good isolation. Many people started their headphone hobby by buying a pair of these.

I think most of us forget; compared to what someone like this has heard before, the Grado SR60 will sound brilliant with EVERYTHING. Movies, music, games, these headphones will absolutely blow the original poster away.

They're not terrible for portable use (a lot of people do it) but there are nice closed cans available if you want isolation.

Do you guys have any opinions on the Denon AHD 210, Senns HD 280 pro, Sony MDRV6, or the Sony MDR 7506? Which one would you choose to watch movies and listen to mostly rock music?

Also how good are the Senns PX 200, Senns PXC 150, and the AKG K26p?

I think Grados are fine for movies; they really bring out the dialogue.
