These are my first Grado's, first open cans, and first pair over $150. Needless to say, they represent a new level of audio for me. After 20 minutes they have matched my expectations almost dead-on in every aspect, especially sound signature.

Starting to see why some of you are such fanatics for Grado

Glad you are enjoying them! Poor me, I listened to the sr325i's at a meet last weekend, and I am about to pull the trigger on some $400 RS2's

How do you know they are really SR225 without the 'button' that says it?

Just kidding.

Congrats & enjoy!

So those did not come from the factory without the button, like the new style RS1 & RS2 do, but were removed by the previous owner?

Yeah, the buttons were removed by Kyle (kpeezy) when he owned them.

I'm really enjoying them; already ordered some HD414 pads direct from SennUSA, so that will be my next little upgrade

Thanks everyone, best regards.

Oh, what fun! I just received my SR-225s from Brian_the_King tonight. What a pleasant surprise to come home from a typical Monday to the Grados. This is my ONLY introduction to ghe Grado sound.

Well, I've had the privilege of listening unamped from my D2, using the portable amp on both high and low gain and usning my Denon receiver. Different sounds, but clearly these need to be driven with an amp in order to reach their potential.

Sorry, I need to go. Pink Floyd's "High Hopes" just came on and I've now been abducted to a new level of listening.
