I'm interested in buying a Grado SR 60. Would it leak more sound than my Sennheiser HD 570, and if so how much? Is my iPod powerfull enough to drive the grado? I'm planning on using the grado for listening music but also on my guitar amp (is the grado good for that?). Also do you know a reliable online store that ships them to austria (europe) at fair prices? I can't seem to find a good store in europe that sells them at fair prices, they are much more expensive. I've read that earphonesolutions.com can send phones as gift so you don't have to pay import duties, is there any other shop that has the Grados and also can send them as gift?

On a search i've found this store www.audioadvisor.com, anyone has experience with them?

Thanks for any help.

Don't know if audioadvisor ships internationally. If you don't know either, I'm sure their Chat Online feature will give an answer to this

I've been told www.needledoctor.com ships Grado internationally, but I've never checked, so I can't conform what I'm saying

What I'm sure of though, is that www.alessandro-products.com will ship internationally. This is slightly tweaked Grados. Have a look at the MS-1, for $99 shipped to wherever, you can't go wrong

It's a lot of info/praise for it on this forum at the moment.

The general consensus is that Grados leak more than Senn's, so I'm guessing this is the case for the mentioned headphones.

I think you will have a hard time finding a shop that will ship them as a gift, but check out audioadvisors' Chat Online and ask. It's probably easier to do if you know someone in the US who could ship them. Don't Austria have VAT on gifts?

Just realize that Grado has a policy to restrict its dealers from shipping outside the dealer's area.

I'd contact Todd or HeadRoom and see what they could do for you

I don't believe they are authorized grado dealers/resellers. You get no warranty from Grado if you buy it from unauthorized shops. Try goodcans.com. They spell it out in big letters, plus most of their inventory is Grado so the chances of getting a returned product is less.

I wonder. I was always under the impression that they are authorised resellers.

I would be very surprised if Todd and Headroom aren't authorised Grado dealers. Don't think either of them will ship Grados outside the US. The Headroom site says so.

Of course Todd and Headroom are authorized retailers. They are two of the most honorable places to purchase and provide the best customer service.

If you are in Europe, get the Allesandro MS-1.

Headroom won't ship to my country because grado don't want them to because of some local dealer things, strange thing is i can't find any local dealers...

I will check those other links mentioned. Thanks again.

Honestly, I'd always assumed they were authorized dealers and if not, that would be a big issue considering the warranty issues. Canman, are you 'certain' he's authorized or has anyone else taken it to Todd for clarification? Would be nice to know one way or the other.

Regardless, he's honest and as straight a shooter as you'll ever have the honor of dealing with. Of that, there is no question.
