after listens to KSC 35 and EP 630 for years , i think i have to find new phone .
After search and searches , i've narrowed to two cans Grado SR 60 and Sennheiser HD 485 at almost same price .
what'd i choose , i listen to pop (50%) , rock-metal (30% mostly Dream Theater) , and 20% to rap-hiphop-classical .
which'd i go for ?

From what I understand, the Grados (SR60s) don't handle classical and rap/hiphop too well. Lack of soundstage for classical and lack of bass for hiphop are the main reasons here. Don't know much about the Senns in question, but something like the HD497 (also Senn) is regarded as a good all around headphone that works well for all kinds of styles. 485 sounds promising.

Yeah id say the hd485 out of the two mentioned.Make sure though that you have an option on your source to turn down the base as it can be pretty strong but maybe that could be your thing,it calms down though after a couple of weeks use.

Yea with pop/hip hop I like the Sennheisers. Seems like better bass and just warmer sound to it.
