The PA2V2 has a high current design and a warm sound which synergizes quite well with the low-impedance and somewhat bright Grados.

Is the difference that big, when comparing the un-amped SR225's to an amped PA2V2 and SR225 combo? Is it worth the $60.

What other amps have good synergy with Grados? Max. $150

To me of the under $150 that I have heard and which are still in production the PAV2 has the best sound with Grado cans. If you are not satisfied you could try the HeadRoom Airhead, or Practical Devices XM3. Good luck.

The PA2V2 made a nice difference for me with most low-impedance headphones I tried.
