Very cool but the price is insane. For that price you could get other vintage speakers that probably sound much better.

But hey, I prefer paying this amount for those speakers than paying the PS-1 because with inflation, I'm about paying the real cost of those speakers back in the days. Also, there are only 2 pairs, which make those speakers about so rare that I will never get the opportunity again to buy those. And the sound, I'm trusting Joseph Grado

Congrats on the winning bid.I had no clue they ever dabbled in speakers.
I'm glad they were out of my price range.
The temptation to find out what drivers are inside would be too great.

Grado made a speaker with, like, 25 RS-1 drivers lined up vertically (sort of like a McIntosh) and I asked John what he did about the bass, and he said "The RS-1's have full range drivers, right?". He was right.

I don't think those will ever be sold, and if yes, I don't think I'll have the budget because everybody will be on them.
