Probably not. Grado headbands don't clamp as much as Sennheiser's and that shows in the difference in their tendency to stay (or not) on listeners' head.

I guess what I was thinking about was the larger diameter of the bagels. That perhaps my ears would tend to stay inside the pads rather than the pads pretty much sitting on top of my ears like with the bowls. Even the reversed and modded 414s tend to hold my ears better and more stably.

With the HD600 of course; the ears are totally inside, and the cans are really stable.

....if the cable were just a little bit longer I could play football!

The MS2i are quite comfortable as is, and I have the clamp to a happy snug-but-comfortable level as well after bending the band about four times over the last year. I just can't move around as much as I'd like, sometimes.

If not wrong, donuts are the bowls and bagels/jumbo are the GS-1000 one.

I use contact lens and it works great to me. I can use my Grados with glasses, but definitely less comfortable than when using lens.

I've read and asked about the bagels on non GS-1000 grados and apears to be a concense that the bagels doesn't sounds right with other grados. Never tried though, but i wouldn't spend $45 to try it if lot of people said not to ...

You're absolutely right about thinking that bagels won't work well on other Grados. That's pretty well been the reasoning as I've understood it too since the GS1K was introduced last year. And yeah; the cost is pretty high just to try something on a whim. So I doubt that I'd seriously contemplate it. It's just a fun thing to think about...what if?!

I notice that different vendors call the different pads by different names, and that can get confusing when it comes time to buy some.

I wish they would all just go by comfies and bowls and bagels.

...and of course "Todds" Flats.

Well...it seems to work OK here on the forum.
