hello headfi

has anyone out there ever put something in the grado "tube" with the intention of altering the sound?

example: cork (1/16" press on) little strips of wood (glued in) dyno-mat (trademark?) or perhaps felt.

im curious if anyone knows what this would do to the sound. perhaps its worthwhile to try.

it would be nice to gaint eh sound of the wooden tubes without the wooden tubes...

i did it. yaay. i glued some soft foam into the tube, and a small dot onto the back of the "sr-125 dot"

i cant actually listen to anything because every time i put my headphones on it takes my mom/sister 30seconds to start talking to me. so im listening to my computer speakers at an abnormally loud volume.
