Browsing HeadRoom's site, I saw these "Large" pads for Grado headphones:

http://headroom.headphone.com/layout...tID=0060090005

They're pricy, but they look neat (and comfortable). Considering all the controversy I've read about Grado and their pads ("bowl" this, "donut" that, "old" this, "new" that), I don't know what the hell the deal is. Opinions appreciated.

Are they not the SR80 bowl pads? They've got the same shape and incisions...

They sure do look like the new aka 'bowl' pads to me. Just think, if they were the old aka ''flat' pads, they'll have all been sold out by now

large pads = bowl pads = new pads

donut pads = flat pads = old pads

comfy pads = current SR-60 pads

all current grados above SR-60s come with bowl pads

cheers

Thanks for the info. I probably should have said I don't actually *have* the SR-80s yet, they're coming in the mail today. So I probably should have just waited.
