I discovered this forum a few days before I went on vacation, where I bought my senn570. They're REALLY comfy, but suck at rock... If I must believe you you guys/girls recomend about any grado model.
I've searched around a bit, but I cant find a store who sells grados, most of them do have senns but no grado...
does anybody know where I can buy grados???

I have both the Beyers DT770PRO and the Grado SR225 and the Grado are definitely the winners for rock.

Don't get me wrong, the Beyers were my cans for rock and I still consider them as a good choice... but the Grados are simply better

HA!!!

...girls

Seriously though, if you are moving from Sennheisers to Grado that is going to be one hell of a culture shock, in both sound and comfort.

I might consider the Beyer 770 suggestion. As long as you have the source to drive them.

http://www.snijders-hifi.com/web/gradoht.php

Snijders hifi in Rotterdam sells Grado as well.

ps Sorry for the language guys.

ppps Translation: Nice people in that shop, at least that is my experience.
It`s expensive, compared to dollarprices. Sr60 is 99 euro`s. This is a normal price in the Netherland for an item like this.
You can also buy them at Audio Gallery in Rotterdam.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Sorry for the duth part. Im looking in the 100$ region, is there a other-than-grado headphone in that price regio wich is good for rock?

Translation:
So I'll have to go to Rotterdam
OK, thanks, I'll take a look but 100€ for a sr60 is a LOT more, canamn has send me a PM, he's saying that he's willing to export, but I don't know how to get my money to him (in holland no-one has a creditcard)...
BTW i'm looking in the 100€ region...

Petae: There are plenty - you could try the Beyerdynamic DT531 or the Philips HP890, for example.

Greetings from Munich!

I guess that if I buy the DT770Pro I have to buy a headphone amplifier with it, or am I mistaking? I don't have an amplifier yet, I usually use the 'phone out on my CD-player. It's better qualtiy then on my pre-amp, who muffles the sound...

Folks, I would suggest to keep on English (or broken English, as I do

) when posting on the forum. IMO, communication in other languages should be kept for PMs.

What happens if all non native English speakers here will begin to write in other languages than English?

In Europe, the only good bang for the buck in the grado familly is the alessandro equivalent to the sr80 since they don't rape you on shipping. But no way to listen first of course.
