Wow, I was like, "Hmmm, they look cheap, but have removable cables. Lemme see how those new entry-level Grado cans sound. I've been avoiding them for 22 years. Maybe I'll buy them to finally see what the "hype" of their sound is all about!"

*$2495. Those are their flagship cans.* 😳

Yeah, they cost as much as a ZMF Atrium Open, but it would be interesting to demo them to see how they compare to other headphones in that price range (AO included of course).

But do the pads and cable finally feel like they cost more than $0.25?

I enjoy Grado headphones, but man was their quality crap.

I have modded my Grado's with a Beautiful Audio cable adapter to get rid of the unfomfortable Grado cable!

They cost as much as the Composer. Never heard their high end models, but for me they don't seem to be very comfortable, but I may be wrong with the latest model.

$1250 headphones as a reference point for headphones twice as expensive... 🤔

I like Grado headphones but their price shouldn't exceed $1000
Granted that a lot of headphones are compared to common points of reference (HD 800, HD 650,...), but I guess we shall see if it can justify its price point compared to others in that $2k to $3k space. Since this is a sign that they finally got the memo that people want replaceable/swappable cables I consider that a win.

I love my 3000 set.

If Pink Floyd was first in space (or was it the Dead?), Grado is second. Amazing realistic soundstage, (not artificially spread out (AO) or sounds like it's through a tunnel (800). Wood and brass sound 'natural', with a full tone.

does that mean anything ?
