Grado HF-1 Sound Impressions?

All of the other threads have been pictures and aesthetics. I realize its a bit early for impression, but I (and I imagine several others) am interested in the sound. I've always been interested in a pair of either Grado MS-2s or SR-225s to supplement my Senns for rock. Can we get some kind of comparisons between the three? I'd love to do the limited edition raise money for head-fi thing if the sound is right (I had always leaned toward the supposedly more neutral and balanced MS-2s), but $200 is a lot for me (college expenses leave me with about $800 to my name right now...) to spend on a can that may not jive sonically with me.

To reiterate, burn them in and let us know how they sound--on their own and compared to the MS-2.

Patience you guys. AFAIK, there are only two members who have theirs at this moment. GuffMorgan and nierika. And both of them have never owned Grados before the HF-1.

Understandable. I realized I was jumping the gun, a mod is free to delete this. I just want to find out about these fast and try to avoid the whole, "limited edition" flavor of the month bit, given the limited ordering window.

My god will you LAY OFF? Not everyone owns a digital camera.

It looks exactly like an SR-225 with wooden buttons that say "HF-1." The sound is much more important than the looks.

Yep. I would love to know how they sound compared to the 225 and 325i. The 225s were my first quality headphones and the 325i is an improvement over the 225.

Even though this is sort of short notice of a Grado-made can specifically for Head-Fi members, I will try to buy a pair before the 30th, I just would like to know how they sound compared to the 225 and 325i before doing so.

So, any members with the 225 and 325i, please let us know how the HF-1 stacks up sonically.
