You were watching that auction as well for the RS1 and amp? That was pretty late but I shouldn't be talking For your music I think you would like the Beyers as well for your type of music preferences. Have fun searching for your new headphones. If you do get headphones I would give Headroom a try. It is $10.00 fedex shipping to Hawaii and if you order before 8 - 9:00 HST, they usually are able to ship it out that day and then you get it in 2 days. Also, the 30 day return policy helps, since their isn't a high end place in Hawaii that I know of that has good headphones. Lastly, I have the HD650s with the Silver Dragon V2 cables from a Microstack, and for rock, pop, trance and rap it sounds great. It's definitely a fun headphone. I believe that Pure Digital hawaii has Senn 600s (not sure if you can demo them, but their is a sale there this week). Good luck on your headphone search.

me and the guy who won it were going back and forth for at least 5 mins. that was a big adrenaline rush for me, it was my first time in an auction like that ever. i've never wanted something so bad and not been able to get it! grr...

and it does sux to live in the middle of the pacifc, no place for nice headphones... i was gonna try easy music center one of these days. and Mililani is too far for me for to get to, as i dont drive. im thinking of getting the Denons from pricejapan soon, i've done business with them before with my kenwood. their shipping might be high, but its all relative in comparing prices.

btw... hows your hd650's? whats your source? a while back i really wanted the hd650's but then the denon's came out at a cheaper price.

I really like the HD 650s. Right now I just have the microstack attached to my computer. It sounds great with the Silver Dragon V2 cables. Right now I'm listening to the Grado SR225s and I love them. I really like the Grado sound as well. Of course the usual things about the HD650s is that the soundstage is good and I like the details that come through with the SD V2 cables. It is definitely more fun than my AKG 701s (which I do like as well, and to be fair they are two totally different headphone sounds). But, overall I know I'm going to be keeping the HD650s for a while. I was interested in the Denon's as well, but I think I'm going to wait for a while.
