If you ever wander accross the Peace Bridge, there's The Speaker Shop in Buffalo.

Be happy, they used to be 1200 CAD!

Also, that is just slightly above MSRP and it is easily talked down, in the realm of 900 taxes in which falls well below the MSRP at this point. I'm sure that if one was on good terms with Marc or others at the store, an even better deal could be arranged.

They are good guys to deal with and all the times I have visited, I have never been harassed to buy, nor ridiculed when I had little to spend (being a student etc.)

They do have cool stuff in there, Martin Logans in the basement

you could always go the alessandro route... I bought the MS1s for $99 shipped, and miraculously avoided customs on it also. (not sure you'd be able to avoid customs on the $699 ms-pro though).

I bought a pair of Grado's from audioshop's brick and morter store in Ottawa and I was able to talk them into price matching headroom's price after conversion to CAD. This was several years ago and in person so I dont know if they will now or by email, but I suppose it's worth a try.
