these grado sr125 press on my ears a little, so they get sore after a while. some sony cans put the pressure on the bone behind the ear or on the cheekbone. so i took some "foldback binder clips" (black metal clips with silver handles about an inch long, found in office supply stores) and clipped the rubber tops of the grado's silver posts to the headband. this somewhat immobilized the earpieces. then i tilted the drivers toward my ears (the "auraomic" configuration) and put them on so the fronts of the earcups pressed against my cheekbone instead of my ear. besides taking the pressure off my ears, the sound is a little smoother and imaging improved somewhat. it is simple and easy to try, let me know what you think if you do.
