Hi

I've had my MS-1s for a couple of months now, been using them with my PC/music. Not mistreated them at all, but now, the earpiece has decided it wants to fall off the metal rod which connects it to the over-the-head band.

The rod twists into the over-the-ear piece by about 5mm, and over the course of moving around wearing the headphone, the RHS one twists out and falls off.

I'm sur this is something some superglue would fix, but that might dissolve something/ void my warrenty, etc. I'm tempted to say it must be a manufacturing fault, but here's the catch.

I'm in the UK. Getting them back to allesandro would involve an age, shipping, customs, and a whole heap of fun, I imagine. Just thought therefore I'd talk here/ask about how is considered best to proceed. Pondering an email to Allesandro...

Thanks.

Same thing happened to my SR80 - well, it happend when I gave them away for a couple of days. This seems a well-known problem. I know a Grado RS2 (edit: owner. no, I don't have friendships with headphones) who had the same problem.

Two component glue seems to work well. I dunno what exactly super glue is, but it should work to if the name implies such great powers

Superglue works fine. It won't "dissolve" anything. I've used it on my own MS-1. IMO, it is not worth the time and expense to send it in when it will take only a minute to fix it yourself.

Yup; while I haven't had it happen to my phones. I do recall this happening in some threads and a super glue(cyano acrylate)adhesive seems to work quite well!

...that's what I'd try if it happened to me!

That's great. Just wanted to be sure, y'know, before attacking them.

I always forget the chemical name!

Many thanks.
