Ok so i have heard nothing but good things about these buds, so i boughts some from head-direct, 2 days from hong-kong to UK , must be a record!

I have listened to them over the last few days , comparing them to my Igrados, KSC75 , JVC fx66 and SR60s. As you can see my headphones are all low-mid range so i think they are a fair measure of the PK3s.

Ok the packaging for the PK3s is great, much better than any other sub £30 headphones i have seen, well done Yuin.

Now the sound, I always test my cans with the same tracks , Beck - Troplicalia, The Ravoenettes - great love sound, The Byrds - One hundred years from now, Daft Punk - Da Funk and a couple of classical ones i cant remember right now.

The PK3s straight from the box impressed but i left them running pink noise for 24hrs before this review.

The PK3s are really good, good detail (not great) lovely rounded tight bass and the mids are well balanced and in the middle. Treble is also very good, it isnt too splashy and doesnt bleed into the mids.
The soundstage is very impressive for a set of buds, not quite as good as the KSC75s/SR60s but i cant think of another bud that matches these on this front.
They seem to perform better with acoustic or tracks with distinct seperation between the instruments, they seem to get a little confused with busy rock/indie tracks and as a result the track can sound a little flat.

They sounded fantastic with troplicalia , one of the best results i have ever had with this track but The raveonettes sounde better with the KSC75s.
Classical tracks sounded good with the PK3s.

Overall i would rate them below the KSC75s and SR60s, but above the igrados and the JVCs (i like the JVCs - much better after 100hrs).

You have to remember that these are buds, that makes them more impressive as they manage to create a wide soundstage and sound very open.

Well worth the cash.

Now that's special, a Hong Kong package bound here's been sitting at the HK sorting station since the 14th...
