hey all

is there anyone who can provide insight on how well the Go Vibe (v. III) and Headroom's MicroDAC work together?

thanks

I doubt many folks buying a $300 standalone DAC will pair it with a $69 amp. That said... the go-vibe is a minimal design that gives a feeling of being closer to the music than many more complex amps, and it seems to pair well with whatever I plug into it. It's a very neutral sound, but I would expect the opamp used to have a major effect on how well it pairs with a given source.

I happen to have both, and they work well together. op2107 in the go-vibe. Comparing to my portaphile2, the go-vibe has less presence in the bass department (slower) and the sound overall is less "full." The separation is also not as clean, i.e. the portaphile has greater clarity, but it also costs 3x the go-vibe, so these shortcomings can easily be overlooked.
