First off thank you nismo96 for feeding my grado craving..you know they have a loving home here with me and there brothers..lol

anyhow..on to the 125's

I have listened to them thru my nad>hr2 setup and I must really state that these are so different but so not from the other grados.

they have that loving grado sound but they seem to be louder then the others at the same volume levels, which I guess would mean their more efficent then the others.

the sound is odd to, like the soundstage or imaging is really odd. the music sounds very very close to you but their still is very (if not the best of the grado) seperation....but everything is still well close to you. kind of odd, but kind of not.

they are less detailed but you hear everything so different from the other I have heard.
I like them if thats any surpise, infact I think I really like them.

on "fly me to the moon" Frank sinatra REPRISE recording, you can hear alot of mid bass, like the bass guitar on the left channel for example....
you can hear the sound inside the body of the bass itself...weird

not sure yet but I know for a fact these will be the main cans for the next couple of weeks for sure. I just cant put my finger on whats so different.

who knows maybe these can be the subject of my first review...lol then again I might never write a review

Its been my experience that Grados sound much better after they've been broken in for at least 100 hours. Don't be surprised if your impressions change after you've played them a bit.

Well, he's missing the 225's, and both RS headphones. I think we both decided that a pair of HP-1000's are in our respective futures after hearing Audio_Addict's HP-2's

I thought the SR-125 was very poor value for money. I wasnt impressed with either the bass or the spatial presentation. Too close to the SR-60 and too far from the SR-225 (which, incidentally, doesnt impress me either).

Best headphones IMHO in the "affordable" Grado lineup are the SR-325 / MS2 and the SR-225 (if you dig it then hey - more power to you - I wouldnt mind living with one but the MS2's do it for me).

I'm of this opinion as well. The 325's and MS-2's are just awesome for rock, and great for anything else, unless you really need a big soundstage.
I also don't see nearly as much difference between the two as some people seem to, but my 325's are far from normal, and in the end I prefer them to the MS-2's that I've heard.
