I have been looking online, in the phone books, asking local 'non-audiophile' audio shops where a good hi-fi place in my area might be... nobody had a clue... unitl yesterday when I was given a name of a shop, no address, no nothing, just a name. So on a whim I called information and sure enough, there was such a place. On a mission to upgrade from my sealed 7506's, I found audio mecca!

This place, called Audio Advice in Raleigh, NC is about 20 minutes from where I live and when I walked in the door, I thought I had died and gone to heaven... very high end stuff, beauutiful showroom, great listening rooms, complete GRADO LINE! so I took a seat in one of the empty demo rooms in the nice high back leather recliners and played with a few models. I ended up buying the SR125's for my new 30gb iPod, even out of the headphone jack, they sounded good! And I set my sights on the SR325's for my 'not-so-portable' cans, absolutley amazing sound, amazing!

So if anyone in the NC area is looking for a great high-end audio shop, Audio Advice has got my vote!

Now I cant wait to get my hands on a set of SR325's!

Congrats on your purchase, and thanks for the info on the dealer. My family lives in NC, and I'm always looking for more audio stores to visit when I'm down here.

Welcome to Team Grado. Yeah, I made the mistake of checking out the RS-1's when I had my listening session with the SR-225/325 and a RA-1. I came away with the SR-225 and RA-1 (the 225 are for work and travel) and the RS-1 are now on the list to be purchased later this summer.

Enjoy the music!

I think that says a lot about the ear Grado has for music.

Excellent musicality need not be limited to the mega buck stuff.

It's cool that Grado makes more affordable dynamics that really clobber a lot of the competition.

I really like the music Grado makes.

yeah, as much as the 325's blew me away, I was very impressed with the sound of the 125's on my unampped iPod, i knew it would only get better with the line out running into an amp.

Now that I have found "Grado Depot", I am sure I will have to try some of these highly praised wood cans and see for myself what this noise is all about! I will wait though, my purchase today has me very content! (for now anyway...)
