The bass is actually acceptable. Not very deep but present with good weight. Keep in mind the bass is being reinforced by the bookshelves themselves. The only complaint I have so far is that the highs are a bit thin. I hope that corrects itself when the speakers break-in.
Oh and for anyone wanting to bash this combo, I got real stereo sound (not rinky dink pc sound) for $160. Please tell me how you can beat that.
I just finished wiritng about a four-way integrated amplifier shootout between: T-amp, JD301A, modded JD102B and Aria MiniP1 (a.k.a. EL84 Sophia Baby)
Much to my surprise, I find that T-amp is as good as tube amps costing almost $1k.Consider the fact that I am a tube person, I must say that T-amp is the single most remarkable audio product I have encountered. I think it is the harbinger of a new invasion of switching amplifiers invading hi-end audio.

have you tried the DIY $140.oo tube amp?
if not You should! it put my T amp in the closet (its still there to)
