I've had several earbuds & IEM's (Mostly Sennheiser's & Sony's) and they all invariably get destroyed in my work, I work for a foundation that does Community Development work in various countries so I'm looking for earbuds/IEMs that would stand up to the heat, salt, dust, ocassional rain & general bumps and scrapes fairly well for under USD 200. failing this, does any one know of cheap headphones that sounds resonably good that I wouldnt loose sleep over should they get chewed up by goats? (The fate of my Sennheiser MX 55V

right now I'm back at the office in Bangkok and my inventory right now is a Grado SR60 & Shure SE110, The former I'm keeping FAR, FAR away from any harm. as for the latter, I'm not sure if it will be able to stand up to the abuse.

Stick to inexpensive IEMs because you can pocket them when not in use at work.

UE SF-3 studio , Sony ex-71 , or some other less expensive solution for work. Use the better ones at times when the goats wont eat them.

For times when i want to bring my cheap stuff ,for fear of damage, I got Skullcandy Smokin Buds Ink'd for $9.99usd at FYE, and for the price they sound good enough for knock-arounds with my cheap Sansa M240. I use them on the boat and in situations where i wouldnt want to bring anything good. It actually sounds decent really, and at my cost $25usd for the whole thing...lol.
Thats pretty disposible really. Woot.com has some good deals on MP3 players sometimes.

I don't know any earbuds/IEM that can stand much abuse, but IMO Sennheiser HD25-1 II is definately one of the most robust headphone available and you can change most of the parts if they are broken.
