Let's look at it from another angle. In one fell swoop you close your doors on a different arm and cartridge selection. The choices with regards to those can be highly dependent on the type of music you intend to listen to. The mat looks like the original. I always felt that the 125 was rather weak in some parts of the audio spectrum with its own mat. Straight away that puts in my mind the impression that the seller is not a true audiophile with a sensible amount of knowledge about the capabilities of the TT. That makes me hesitant on his choice of arm and cartridge combination. Which means it might not be the right way to spend U$400.
But others might disagree.

Come on this deck has got to be one of the best you can get for under 1000USD which ever way you look at it. Ok I'm biased because I have one but it's a massive step up from the TD150/160 which go for almost as much these days ( I've had one of those as well

) and not much different from the basic spec Linn LP12. In fact I think it's better in many respects as the suspension is less fiddly and accomodates heavier arms.

The one in the add has clearly been tweaked up because this version has three switches which means it originally came with a Thorens arm. I don't know the Audioquest arm but it has a good reputation so some effort has obviously gone into this deck. The vendor obviously cherishes it otherwise he wouldn't be offering to drive accross half the country to make sure it doesn't get damaged by USPS.

Also the mat is not original otherwise the 45RPM adaptor would fit!

I'd snap it up if someone else hasn't already.

The arm/cart combo doesn't seem optimal, but will probably work fairly well nevertheless. Otherwise I don't really see any catches - with the exception of a possible scratched or missing dust cover.

Seller says the dust cover is included just not photographed. He is also including a Denessen Sound tractor kit for aligning cartridge.

But it doesn't really matter since he said it is pretty much sold despite saying that it was avaliable in our previous communication. Oh well.
