    Hey everyone,
I ordered a set of M4U1 headphones, and have been wrestling with what DAP to go with as a good pair. I've been looking at x1-x5 fiio and dx50-90 ibasso so far.  But to be honest, I am lost in the reviews of all of them.  Maybe information overload at the moment.  My initial plan was to go X3.  Price is ok.  Is the DX50 a better pairing for these headphones though? is jumping to a x5 or dx90 worth it with these headphones?
    Looking for your thoughts.

Hi, I don't have experience with the ibasso gear but I've been using the fiio x1 for months now with my beyer DT 990s. The x1 has plenty of power to run them and the quality of that player is great. Whilst I have no comparison, I know that you could be very happy with the x1 if you decide to go with it and save some cash. I don't think you will find much of a huge improvement stepping up to the x5 since the x1 is a beast.

Hope you find what you want and enjoy it!

which version of DT990 do you use?  I'm glad to hear you are enjoying the X1.

The 250ohm pro version. It's usually tough to drive properly of most things like my phone but sounds full and clean with the x1

that's why i was interested in knowing.  If it can drive 250ohm cans, I should drive the M4u1 effectively!
