Please list and put in pics of your favourite movie soundtracks here!

My personal favourites are John Powell's How to train your dragon 1 and 2, Jurassic Park ,Jurassic World, Transformers 1 and Kung Fu Panda 2 Soundtrack.

Favourite movie soundtrack? The Park Is Mine by Tangerine Dream

Either that or Vangelis's Blade Runner OST. I like those old analogue synth soundtracks from the 70s and 80s best - orchestral stuff I enjoy while watching the movies, but wouldn't want to listen to it on its own.

Just finished downloading Blade Runner ost

Which ones are the best sounding ones?

Best sounding... generally, you mean? Depends what you're into really!

If you mean best produced, the first one I mentioned certainly isn't that - it was released a few years after the film and never properly mastered, but that gives it a rawness that most of TD's mid-80s output doesn't have.

I also like Clint Mansell's scores - e.g. Moon and Requiem For a Dream. They tend to be quite dark and atmospheric, if you like that kind of thing!

I'm trying to say that which tracks in blade runner's ost sound nice.
I wasn't asking about recording quality and stuff.

Why not just take a listen?

I rather liked Mica Levi (aka, Micachu)'s sountrack for Under the Skin.
When watching the film you almost forget that it's there, it just fits so beautifully. When listening to it on its own it's still completely engrossingly disturbed.

There are some fantastic videogame soundtracks out there too.
Here's a mix of my faves:

Mirrormask OST - Iain Ballamy
Waking Life OST - Various
Myst 3: Exile OST - Jack Wall
Machinarium OST - Floex
Grim Fandango OST - Peter McConnell

I'm not much of a fan of epic soundtracks (there's something painfully generic about epic movie soundtracks) - these are more on the eccentric side, even if they have colours of 'epic' to them.
The Mirrormask OST is absolutely brilliant.

i always liked the soundtracks to these blockbusters:

The Last of the Mohicans
Heat
Gladiator

one or two songs per soundtrack may have vocals but for the most part, they'd be considered scores
