I'm a stranger to this section of the forum. What I'm looking for is a good relatively inexpensive mini-mini cable to use with my D-33 PCDP and the CHA-47 I bought. It needs to be flexible and not too long. Something that will be a marked improvement over Ratshack cables yet nothing over the top since it's only a modest portable amp.

Any recommendations? HeadRoom's mini-mini that they package with their Airhead and sell separately looks nice and flexible but also sort of cheap. Anyone tried it or compared it to others? Oh, and no DIY. I have no tools or skills or anything

top choice would be the kimber's that headroom sells, then JMT's silver lance, then whatever the hell you want. I usually just my regular diy interconnects with rca->mini adapters on both ends.

Rizumu,

I second the JMT mini to mini recommendation. This is from the pm when we were negotiating the order.

Switchcraft 90 degree plugs and Homegrown Audio Super Silver

Great sound, bullet proof, and it sure looks slick to boot. I was listening outside in the back and had my pcdp and META42 on the edge of a chair and the dog runs out catches the cord and the pcdp is hanging there by the mini to mini, saving a crash test.

Good luck.

Using adapters is one way to go. I'm waiting to buy some RCA cables liek Outlaws until I get a home amp with RCA inputs. I could use that, but it would be pretty darn non-portable.

Yeah I had a JMT mini to mini but it was sort of broke

and I sent it with my META42 amp when I sold it because the guy said he'd be able to fix it and use it. I might just PM JMT again and get another one. It was really slick, it just never really worked right. JMT offered to fix it if I sent it in but I never got around to it (doh).

You probably can't do better for the price. I was just wondering what else is out there

I would second the Kimber mini to mini, though it was rather bulky and difficult to position inside my HeadRoom Airbag. The Kimber that I had used straight Switchcraft plugs which were about an inch long, and an additional inch of heatshrink so it was not flexible at the plug ends where you need it to be for positioning. Additionally the cable is very stiff, which made the cable unworkable for me. Sonically it sounded fantastic though.
