Hello fellow headfiers. Ive been researching about which IEM to buy since April and its very hard for me to choose since i cant try them first due to my country. I need some guidance from you experienced people!:)

My pref in music is: 90% instrumental and 10%Vocal. I used to be a metalhead, but last years ive been more into Jazz( ECM Jazz, electronic jazz, mathjazz etc) and modern classical ( Max Richter, Nils Frahm,Keith jarret etc). I also listen to electronica, post rock, math rock.

My pref in sound signatures: I love details and that " 3D like holographic" soundstage is most important for me. Something that feels like a good upgrade from my IE800. How much bass, mid or treble is secondary. I like different stuff as long it isnt bloaty. Alwayd quality before quantity. My source is LG V40.

My budget is around 1k usd in total. It CAN be stretched a little. I will list some iems that are maybe overy budget.

Will any one these fit my need? And which one do you think fit my style and preferences the most?

Thieaudio Monarch
UM Mest
U12T
NIO
Viento B
Sony M9
QDC 8sl or Anole VX

The Monarch seems very very good. But so does the MEST. The 64 Audio U12T seems to be a safe buy and praised everywhere. What do u think gives me the best experience?

Thanks:)

That driver config + price + good tuning/technicalities and its very well received from a lot of reviewers /headfiers (both clair and monarch).

👍Since you have no opportunity to demo it's wise to consider it. 😊

I've had the A12T and Mest, both would work well with the genres you listen to, esoecially the Mest due to it's grand staging. I currently have the Fibae 7 which doesn't have as big a stage as Mest but it's still above average, with superb imaging. I listen to a lot of different genres, similar to what you like and everything sounds lovely with them.

If you're coming from IE800, you should consider the differences between DD and BA, like bass texture, tonality, coherency etc.
Ive been looking at it. I think i will enjoy a dd bass best. But i can enjoy different styles. The details, imaging and good stereo seperation/ holographic soundstage is 1 priority. A awesome sound experience. I was blown away when i tried the ie800 first time. THAT stereoseperation was just awesome! But the tonality from mids and up was very thin and kinda sibilant and trebly. But after the brain burn for a week or 2, the tonality growed alot on me! That made me believe that my brain can adjust to alot of tonalities! :)

Yes, IE800 has a thin and very bright sound which I didn't like, instead I like the new IE800S where those issues were fixed.
If you can adapt to different tonalities you are lucky, I thought I could also adapt but it didn't work. I came back to DD from BA.

Detail wise the VX pretty much stands above anything else. The switches are very well implemented and are actually useful for certain music, and the bass is some of the best I've head from BAs. That being said unless you get a very good deal used it would be outside your budget, no? The 8sl is a bit warmer and more vocal oriented to me and has a slightly more natural sound but is lacking in details. If soundstage is priority, I agree with the other poster that the Andromeda is a pretty good call.
