Good headphones for bus?

Well, I'm a total headphones noob...there's no way around it. But I was hoping maybe the headphone gurus of the internet could help me out.

I'm looking for a new set of bigass closed headphones for my mp3 player. My current earbuds suck, and the sound always travels to everyone else on the bus. What would you guys suggest?

As mentioned, I'm mainly going to use them for bus ride to school. And yes, I am a starving student so something below $50 would be nice. I live around the Vancouver area, so if there's any nice stores to check out, that would be amazing as well.

The obvious choice is the AKG K 81 DJs. In the US, they can be had for $55 shipped. I am not sure what it would cost to score a pair on your area. If you don't want to take my word for it, check out this behemoth of a thread to see what a million other happy K 81 DJ owners have to say about them.
