I'm looking for a good DAC within $1000.. As far as my knowledge about DAC's goes, it's almost next to none so I really need some good advice here

. I have a Xitel Hi-Fi link pro usb DAC atm, but I'm looking for some thing better. Any Suggestions?

I've been checking out x-dac v3 from MF.. I can get that for about $1000 with x-psu. Anyone got any experience with x-dac v3? There is probably better DAC's for the money.. I just don't know what to look for.

EDIT: Ohyea, also been considering TAG McLaren F3 DAC20.

Try reading in the dedicated source forums, they have more experience with high end DACs. You might be able to find a place in North America that will ship to Sweden.

Wont it be a problem with voltage? We have 220V here in Sweden.

Personally, I was quite impressed by the Bel Canto Dac 2. It takes both optical and coaxial signals.

Someone in a forum here in .de considered it to be kind of a "giant killer" and very good value for its 499€. The specs are certainly impressive. Well, it's pro stuff after all.
